We support healthy eating and well-being by offering nutritious school meals and packed lunch options.
Below is information about our meal provision, payment methods, and how we promote healthy eating across the school.
School dinners can be paid for:
-
via the school office, or
-
online using ParentPay.
If you have any questions about payments, the office team will be happy to help.
Children may bring a packed lunch from home. All packed lunches must comply with our School Food Policy.
Milk is available daily for children who wish to have it.
-
Children entitled to free milk will continue to receive this.
-
Parents of children not entitled to free milk should speak to the school office, who can advise on the termly cost.
-
Fresh fruit or vegetables are provided daily for all children in EYFS and Key Stage 1.
-
We encourage all children to bring a healthy snack to enjoy during morning break.
Our Healthy School Approach
We are proud to be a Healthy School, and this is reflected in our policies and curriculum.
We recognise the importance of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle, and believe that establishing good habits early supports children’s wellbeing and learning.
Healthy eating is explicitly taught across:
-
Science
-
PSHE
-
Design & Technology
-
PE
Through these subjects, children develop the knowledge and skills needed to make healthy choices for life.
We believe that healthy children are best able to take full advantage of the educational opportunities that school provides.
Snack Guidance
Our healthy school ethos is supported through daily practice. We encourage all children to bring a healthy snack to enjoy during morning break, helping to promote sustained energy and concentration throughout the school day.
All children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 are provided with a daily selection of fresh fruit or vegetables as part of the national School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme.
